Inspiration for childless and childfree women

Thoughts and ideas to inspire, uplift and affirm the childless and childfree, by circumstance and by choice

When women are cautioned against taking risks, is there sometimes an encoded assumption that their responsibilities and obligations as mothers should underlie the decisions they make? If we, as non-mothers, are not bearers of these responsibilities and obligations, might we be sometimes be freer to risk a little more?

It could be that some of the more conservative advice we are given in our careers, our relationships and our travels assumes obligations and responsibilities that are not present in the lives of childless and childfree women. So there might be the opportunity to break a little more with convention, to take a few risks, to do some extraordinary things.

If you’re interested in the likelihood that childless and childfree women are freer to take risks, you may also enjoy reading about the possibility of experimenting with wilder ideas and the freedom to make creative work a priority.
